Just in the recent years, popular stars who work mainly in TV and movies are performing on the stage in theatre and musicals. There are conflicting opinions on positive and negative effects of so-called star marketing, but stars that perform regardless of what kind of stage do not seem to be a short-term trend any more. This means that it is time to distinguish real gems from pebbles by delivering a cool-headed judgment on their performance on stage regardless of their popularity among the public.

How did audiences and people working in the field of performing arts evaluate popular stars that stood on the stage in theatre and musical? Based on the survey filled out by 18 performing arts-related persons and 100 people who follow Interpark’s Twitter account (@InterparkTicket), [we] found out which stars performed impressively and which stars poorly.

Above all, many named JYJ’s member Kim Junsu of musical ‘Mozart!’ as a star who shined on the stage.
