JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong will hold a fan meeting on February 5 in Turkey. He was invited by the Korean Cultural Center at a university in Turkey.
Since his Korean TV series aired in Turkey in 2005, Hallyu has also arrived in Turkey. The biggest Hallyu fan club, Korea Fans, has over 40,000 members.
The Korean Cultural Center in Turkey invited Kim to hold a fan meeting so that they can promote cultural exchange between Korea and Turkey and spread Hallyu.
The six hundred tickets for Kim’s fan meeting sold out after 30 minutes and over 2,000 people applied to buy the tickets. People who couldn’t buy the tickets asked the Korean Cultural Center and South Korean Embassy for more tickets.
A major daily newspaper in Turkey reported on Kim’s fan meeting on February 1.
