[TRANS] 120202 Tohoshinki’s Changmin Makes Japanese Movie Debut, Takes On The Role Of North Korean Spy

Tohoshinki’s member, Changmin, was recently cast in a Japanese movie, “Soar with the Gold”. He is expected to play the role of one of the main characters, Momo, who is a North Korean spy under the cover of an engineering exchange student.

“Soar with the Gold” is based on the debut novel of Japanese best-selling author Kaoru Takamura, also titled “Soar with the Gold”, and was awarded the 3rd Japan Thriller Suspense Award. The story unfolds on the streets of Osaka, depicting the fight between 6 men for the gold bullion.

Much discussion has been ongoing about the movie, from its director, Izutsu Kazuyuki, who is famous from his work with “Pacchigi! Love and Peace”, to the glamorous cast, (including) Changmin, for whom it will be his first movie, Tsumabuki Satoshi from “Water Boys” and “Josee, the Tiger and the Fish”, who is well known even in Korea, Asano Tadanobu and Nishida Toshiyuki.

Filming began in full force in January, and the movie is expected to open nationwide this fall.
