[TRANS] 120320 Tohoshinki, Attracts 250,000 With Their Tour After 3 Years “Thank You For Waiting For Us”


Popular group Tohoshinki held the finale of (the arena concerts) of their “Tohoshinki LIVE TOUR 2012 ~TONE~” at the Saitama Super Arena on 20 March. Their nationwide arena tour attracted over 250,000 audiences. Yunho expressed his gratitude with, “We’ve been wanting to have our own concerts since we restarted activities. We would like to express our gratitude to all the fans who have waited for us during the time when we were not able to have activities.”
Red penlights filled and shone in the venue. When the duo appeared dressed in white, the fans who had been waiting for the tour for 3 years applauded and cheered to welcome them. Yunho greeted the audience with, “We will show you everything that we have prepared for today,” while Changmin said, “Everyone, let’s sing and dance till the end.” They opened the concert with up-tempo dance numbers such as “B.U.T” and “Superstar”.
Singing songs mostly from the album “Tone”, the two made their appearances suspended, to which the fans cheered and screamed. During the MC segment, Changmin asked, “We gave it our all to bring good songs and performances to you, did the message get across?” to which 32,000 fans cheered in response.
During the encore, they showcased their new single “Still”, which clinched 1st on the Oricon single weekly charts for the week of 26 March as soon as it appeared on the charts. Yunho recalled, “When we decided to have the tour, there was some pressure, but we’ve been able to make it all the way here thanks to everyone,” and expressed his gratitude by saying, “I think Tohoshinki really begins here. We are here because of everyone. Please continue to support us from here on.”
The largest tour thus far for Tohoshinki began at Yokohama Arena on 18 January, and is expected to attract around 550,000 audiences, including the Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka concerts which will be held next month.
