Fans set a highest record of rice wreaths sent to JYJ Kim Jaejoong. On the afternoon of 17th, MBC weekend drama ‘Dr Jin’ held its press conference at Seoul’s Lotte Hotel. The cast for this drama consists of various Hallyu stars like Song Seung Hun, Lee Bum Soo, Kim Jaejoong and Park Min Young etc, and the venue was filled with rice wreaths.
Especially highlighted was the rice wreaths for Kim Jaejoong which is a record high of 23.68 tons. Besides from Korean fans, it included congratulations from fans of 31 different countries eg. Japan, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Russia etc.
Drama representative expressed that sending of rice wreaths started from 2007 and the current amount Kim Jaejoong received is the highest in history. JYJ’s company representative also expressed that they are grateful for fans’ sending of rice wreaths and these rice will be donated to places of needs. Other than Jaejoong’s rice wreaths, fans of Song Seung Hun, Lee Bum Soo and Park Min Young etc also donated rice wreaths as a pledge of support for the actors.
‘Dr Jin’ is based on a Japanese manga which has been running for 10 years. It depicts the story of the best Korean surgeon in 2012 who time-travelled back into Joseon Dynasty and fight on his own. It will be premiering on the 26th, taking over ‘Feast of the Gods’.
