JYJ’s Kim Junsu (XIA) made a surprise appearance at a club in Haeundae, Busan to perform his new song to the delight of many.

Having traveled to Busan for his Asia tour concert, which will be held on the afternoon of the 10th, Kim Junsu visited a club in Haeundae, Busan with his American dance crew to perform a powerful remix version of ‘Incredible’.

A representative of the club stated, “We heard that Kim Junsu would be in Busan for his tour so we planned for this weekend to be a ‘Kim Junsu Weekend’, where we play the remix version of Kim Junsu’s dance tracks. Many foreigners have been visiting the club for the past week, and they were excited to see Kim Junsu. They posted photos and videos on their personal SNS accounts and enjoyed his performance.”

[TRANS] 130802 Xia Junsu Is Set To Hold A Concert In Sydney, Australia On The 28th Of September

XIA Junsu will be holding a solo concert in Australia in September.

C-JeS Entertainment revealed, “XIA Junsu’s solo concert in Australia has been confirmed. He will be holding his first Australian concert on the 28th of September in Sydney. After ending his Busan concert on the 11th of this month, he will be focusing on his role in ‘Elisabeth’ till early September. He will then restart his tour in September, with Australia being his first stop.”

XIA Junsu’s first solo concert in Australia is set to be great news for his fans down under. Last week, the Australian broadcasting channel SBS (Special Broadcasting Service) interviewed JYJ in their ‘POP ASIA’ corner and were met with an explosive response. Now, XIA Junsu will be performing for his Australian fans for the first time through his upcoming concert.

The C-JeS Entertainment representative continued to state, “Though there are unlawful limitations on our broadcasted activities in Korea, the response XIA Junsu has been receiving overseas is hotter than ever. He topped the BeijingTV’s ‘Music Billboard’ weekly popularity polls for overseas singers, beating out Justin Bieber and Rihanna. Not only this, but XIA Junsu also topped the iTunes charts in eight countries as soon as he released his second solo album, and has already topped the ‘Yinyue Tai’ music video weekly charts as well.”

Meanwhile, XIA Junsu plans to hold the Seoul leg of his Asia tour at COEX on the 3rd and 4th of August.

Singer and musical actress Ok Joo Hyun revealed a picture taken with JYJ’s member Junsu.

Yesterday, Ok Joo Hyun posted on her Twitter, “I thank all audience members once again who filled up all the seats for our Wednesday night performance as well. This great man was also in the audience~” along with a picture.

In the picture, Ok Joo Hyun is still in the makeup from her musical stage in a white gown, posing for the camera. Next to her is JYJ’s Junsu in an all-black suit with his hand on Ok Joo Hyun’s shoulder.

Internet users who saw this commented, “They look so close, I’m jealous,” “They’re such great singers,” “I’ll make sure to go watch the musical,” and “They look good together.”

[TRANS] 130703 Kim Junsu (XIA) To Hold A Live Showcase For His Second Solo Album, ‘Inviting 1,2000 Fans’

Kim Junsu (XIA) will be holding a showcase to commemorate his solo album.

On the 3rd of July, C-JeS Entertainment stated, “On the 15th of July, which is the release date of XIA (Kim Junsu)’s second solo album, a live showcase will be held at the UNIQLO Ax Hall,” and “For this opportunity to hear XIA (Kim Junsu)’s title song and new tracks live, Melon will be inviting 1,200 fans through an event.”

A representative also added, “This will be the first time that XIA (Junsu) holds a showcase on the release date of his album, and the showcase will feature performances of new tracks, as well as an introduction of his new album and behind-the-scenes stories of his music video.”

600 people (2 tickets per person) will be chosen through Melon’s mobile app and online event page from the 4th till the 10th of July after listening to XIA (Junsu)’s pre-released song and leave an album review.

Online and offline reservations for XIA (Junsu)’s second album will begin from the 4th of July. Pre-sales will be open in various offline stores and online shopping malls.

Meanwhile, XIA (Junsu) will release his second solo album on the 15th of July and will begin his Asia Tour on the 20th in Thailand.

Kim Junsu has proved his ticket power yet again.

During the second round of ticket reservations that took place today for the musical ‘Elisabeth’, Kim Junsu sold out all of his shows in five minutes.

C-JeS Entertainment revealed on the 3rd that, “During the ticket reservations that took place today, Kim Junsu’s shows were sold out in five minutes. Most of the tickets were gone in the pre-sales that began at 2pm, and when regular sales for tickets began at 3pm, the server crashed and proved just how powerful Kim Junsu is as a musical actor.”

Kim Junsu was highly praised last year for creating the closest representation of Death that the original writer had intended. Receiving positive reviews from critics and audience alike, he won the Best Musical Actor Award at the 18th Korea Musical Awards. On the 1st, he released a teaser photo that showed him with dark hair and a mystical gaze.

Kim Junsu stated, “I decided to appear in ‘Elisabeth’ this year because I wanted to show the audience a newly interpreted and evolved Death.”

The musical ‘Elisabeth’ is a unique take on the beautiful Hapsburg empress Elisabeth. The fantasy character of Death has been added to the dramatic interpretation of the royal’s life, with a unique storyline of Death falling in love with the empress. With music created by Composer Sylvester Levay, who has also written the music for ‘Mozart!’ and ‘Rebecca’, the musical has been loved in Europe for over 20 years.

Meanwhile, the musical ‘Elisabeth’ will open its curtains on the 26th of July at the Opera Hall in the Seoul Arts Center.

[TRANS] 130703 Kim Junsu Proves His Vocal Talent With A ‘Les Miserables’-esque Music Video

JYJ’s Kim Junsu, seen as the greatest vocalist amongst idol groups, has released a one-take live music video, the first of its kind in Korea, and proved the power of his vocal talent yet again.

Having pre-released ’11 o’clock, its adequacy’, an acoustic ballad track from Kim Junsu’s upcoming second solo album, Kim Junsu worked with LoenTV to create a special video. Differentiated from most music videos that have a pre-recorded audio track added to the video, Kim Junsu created his music video by recording his singing voice on set.

In order to create the best video possible and accentuate the emotions carried by his voice, Kim Junsu sang the song from beginning to end in one take, unlike most videos that cut up the song into sections and record the music video in many takes.

Kim Junsu wore a special microphone with his outfit, as well as an in-ear in his left ear while filming the music video. A piano instrumental began playing halfway through the song in the in-ear and till then, he had been singing without any background music.

The production crew explained that the music video was created in a similar way as the musical movie ‘Les Miserables’, which recorded all the voices live on set to maximize the emotions expressed by the actors.

The music video was filmed near the coast in Daebu-do, Ansan. The equipment was set up at 6am and filming began at 7am. Kim Junsu sang the song from beginning to end three times, and filming ended in a mere hour.

A representative of LoenTV stated, “We filmed the music video live in one take because we wanted to portray Kim Junsu’s emotions and vocal tone. His melodious but plaintive voice fused with the sound of birds and the wind to create a fantasy atmosphere.”

Ever wondered where JYJ Junsu‘s good looks come from? Fans have determined that he takes after his beautiful mother.

Junsu’s mother shared on her Twitter on the 17th, “After the game, a snapshot taken with my two sons backstage,” proudly sharing the mentioned photo. The snapshot shows Junsu with his twin brother Kim Junho and mother enjoying their day out as a family.

Junsu’s celebrity soccer team FC MEN held a soccer charity match at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on the 17th.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the Kim family, sharing, “Junsu’s mother shared a lovely family snapshot,” “Please share more photos,” and “It seems the two sons got their visuals from their mother.”

JYJ’s Kim Jun Su recently showed off that he received Kim Jae Joong’s autograph.

On January 24, Jun Su tweeted a picture with the short comment, “Hello! I got Jae Joong’s autograph.”

In the picture, Jun Su is smiling for the camera. He is wearing a green T-shirt where Jae Joong signed his autograph. Their close friendship received a lot of attention.

Jae Joong previously released his first solo EP I on January 17 and showed off his power in EP sales by selling over 60,000 copies in only five days.

People who saw the picture responded: “Jun Su is such a cutie.” “It’s good to see they are taking care of each other.” “When is he going to appear on TV?”

Singer Kim Junsu (26) has had quite the year in 2012. His first solo album ‘Tarantallegra’ sold over 120,000 copies, and he dominated overseas charts such as the Billboard World Charts, the Japanese iTunes Charts and the German Asian Music Charts. What makes his achievements so special is that he was able to do this without a single TV appearance.

“Because I knew that I would be releasing an album without a single TV appearance on music programs, I wanted to make a music video that was a work of art. I received full support from the company. To be honest, the amount of money that went into the music video was a bit too much (300 million Won). But I firmly believe that if you truly love music, you can’t lie to yourself; you have to do what you feel is right and what you want to do. And they must have agreed to that.”

His voice was flushed with excitement as he spoke. We recently met with him and he seemed proud of his ‘report card’ last year. What he was most proud of was his world tour that took him through Asia and the Americas. Starting in Seoul, he travelled all over the world from Thailand to Taiwan, USA, Mexico, Brazil and Chile to perform for over 50,000 people.

The program, which aired on the 8th of January, stated that Kim Junsu’s surprise Christmas season single ‘Thank U For’ helped him reach first place, but they also explained that it wasn’t surprising considering his popularity till now. [NEWS] Junsu’s international fans donate coal briquettes, eggs, and rice

JYJ Junsu‘s international fans donated various things in support for Junsu’s concert.

The ‘2012 XIA Ballad & Music Concert with Orchestra‘ ran from December 29th to 31st at the Seoul Samsung Coex D-Hall. Fans from Japan, Malaysia, Kuwait, and Peru donated 2000 coal briquettes, 6000 eggs, and 910 kgs (2002 lbs) of rice to support Junsu.

The rice will be donated to children who are starving or to people in need, the coal briquettes will be given to the elderly who live alone who need the warmth, and the eggs will be donated to a national food bank.

JYJ’s fans have always donated items for Junsu’s concerts, fanmeetings and musicals before, and he has been donating the items to help the disabled.
