On October 29, the ’18th Annual Korea Musical Awards’ took place at the Olympic Hall in Seoul. On this night, Kim Junsu and Ock Ju Hyun were presented with the Best Actor/Actress Award, the best award a musical actor can receive.

Kim Junsu and Ock Ju Hyun appeared together in the first half of 2012′s great musical ‘Elizabeth’ (production: EMK Musical Company). Ock Ju Hyun had the role of Queen Elizabeth while Kim Junsu had role of the spirit of death that protected her. Through this musical, both actors received ovations from their fans for their excellent singing and acting abilities.

Kim Junsu, who is an active member of JYJ, debuted as a musical actor in 2012 with ‘Mozart’. After just three years, he now sits at the top of the industry as an actor. Ock Ju Hyun, who debuted as a member of girl group FinKL, jumped into the musical industry in 2005 through ‘Aida’ and is now a true representative of the Korean musical industry as an actress.

Kim Junsu gave thanks and said, “I didn’t think I’d be able to receive such a big award” and “I want to sincerely thank Yoo Chun and Jae Joong, who gave me a lot of courage when I first debut in the musical industry.”
Kim Junsu also won the popular actor award alongside Kim Sun Young, which is an award that is presented according to fans’ online votes.

The broadcast of the 18th Annual Korea Musical Awards was expected to be aired live; however, because the Korean baseball series game postponed due to the rain, the airing of the recorded broadcast of the ceremony was changed to October 30 at 05:20 PM on SBS TV.
