[NEWS] JYJ Jaejoong’s Movie “The Jackal Is Coming” Is Based Off His Own Life?

JYJ‘s Kim Jaejoong recently attended the movie premiere of “The Jackal is Coming“, which is a story about a legendary killer named Bong Min Jung (played by Song Ji Ho) who kidnaps celebrity Choi Hyun (played by Kim Jaejoong himself) and the comical events that happen to them.

This was a special moment for JYJ’s Jaejoong who was anticipating his debut on the big screen. Interestingly enough, Jaejoong played a character that was closely based on his own life: a “flower boy” celebrity named Choi Hyun who encounters a Sasaeng fan (a rather extreme fan who pushes boundaries to get close to the stars they adore).

In fact, his character Choi Hyun faces life-threatening situations with Sasaeng fans, as well as an invasion of privacy- even in the very place he lies his head to go to sleep.

When asked if Jaejoong himself could related to Choi Hyun’s situation, he responded with, “There are fans who are extreme as that. I am sure that every celebrity has encountered Sasaeng fans just as we did.” He offered no elaboration, seeing as how they were many sensitive Sasaeng fan issues that came to light in the public this past year.

[NEWS] 121030 ‘Jackal is Coming’ JYJ’s Kim JaeJoong, Six ‘embarrassing stills’ while escaping from being a hostage revealed

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong, who flawlessly transformed from a charismatic idol to an actor, will be debuting on the big screen in November through ‘Jackal is Coming’ (production: Nomad Film | director: Bae Hyung Joon | cast: Song Ji Hyo, Kim Jae Joong, Oh Dal Su, Han Sang Jin, Kim Sung Ryeong). A handful of embarrassing stills were released and gained much attention for the upcoming movie.

‘Jackal is Coming’ will be released in theaters on November 15. In the movie, Kim Jae Joong has the role of top star ‘Choi Hyun’ and brought laughter with stills that consist of his wrecked image. In order save himself from the legendary killer “Bong Min Jung’ (Song Ji Hyo), who comes to kill him, Kim Jae Joong claims to be a fake version of himself named ‘Choi Hun’. In a desperate attempt to live, he pretends to be tone-deaf as he sings horribly and hides his six-pack by sticking out his stomach as if he has a big belly.

Other stills include images of Kim Jae Joong staring down a knife in order to escape and him laying down sideways on the floor to make a phonecall even though his mouth is taped. These stills have brought curiosity on what kind of movie ‘Jackal is Coming’ will be.

In particular, Kim Jae Joong revealed that he “didn’t want to take a role that wasn’t light at all. [He] received a great opportunity to film a good movie, so [he] wasn’t afraid to wreck [his] image.”

With Kim Jae Joong’s hidden embarrassing stills revealed, ‘Jackal is Coming’ is receiving a lot of attention and will be released in theaters on November 15.
